Bobby Jones, a Fayetteville native, is a distinguished candidate running for Fayette County Commissioner District 2. His commitment to service along with his deep roots in the community only sharpened his vision for the county's future.
After graduating from the United States Naval Academy in 2001, Bobby served as a Global War on Terrorism veteran, achieving command in the United States Navy, and completing 22 years of commissioned service, retired.
Growing up in Fayette County was considered the premium in lifestyle, friendly folks, and a sense of ruralness; a place Bobby always knew he would come back to and raise a family. Finally coming home, Bobby found there were many suburban changes to his beloved Fayette County. What’s happened and why? It became obvious when attending the Commissioners meetings.
“ I believe I can offer common sense in future development plans by listening to our citizens. Making sound decisions on what's best for the people, should be made by the people. I honorably served and protected our country and now its time that I serve my county, who deserve the best.”
Bobby and his wife Lauren are proud parents of two daughters and are members of Leadership Georgia Class of 2023.
